In 2008 we asked the question "Could one dinner or lunch with one friend, on one day, make a difference in the life of one woman in a war torn country?" and by the end of 2008 the answer was very clearly yes.

Last year we sponsored a total of 12 women in 3 war ravaged countries. You and women like you, gave 12 women the opportunity to become more than victims or just survivors. You gave these women the opportunity to move forward and embrace life. On behalf of Francoise, Marie-Chantal, Jane & Seraphina in Rwanda, Elizabeth, Kashindi, Geogette and Abea in Congo, and Rebecca, Monica, Martha and Yom in Sudan .... thank you.

On April 28th invite a friend to dinner or lunch at Trapeze in Burlingame. When you order from the $30 Friendship Foundation menu $10 will be donated to "Women for Women International" to sponsor a woman in Nigeria.
