What happens to the money we raise?

The restaurant will donate $10 from each lunch or dinner directly to Women for Women International, a registered charity that sponsors women in need around the world. Women for Women International supports women in war-torn regions with financial and emotional aid, job-skills training, rights education and small business assistance so they can rebuild their lives.

It only takes $360 to sponsor one women for one year. That means if 36 friends choose to celebrate their friendship on the same day, at the same restaurant the Friendship Foundation can make a significant impact in another woman's life half way around the world.

The Friendship Foundation is not a charity. All the money we (you included!) raise will go directly to Women for Women International. If you would like more information about this organization, please check them out at www.womenforwomen.org

And so our journey begins, we will sponsor a women at each dinner and have the opportunity to get to know her personally thru photos and letters.
